I just joined this community purely because I wanted to talk/ask about my favourite TV show as a kid, which was Huckleberry Finn & His Friends, the 1979 (?German) version with Ian Tracey and Sammy Snyders among others, on IMDB here.

I'm pretty sure I can't get a copy of this here in the UK but IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW I CAN GET IT IN WHATEVER FORMAT, I would be very interested!

What a great idea for a community!

I bought Duckula on DVD a few months ago, and sat enthralled (and amazed that I remembered all the words to the theme song - "In the heart of Transylvania", etc). One of David Jason's better efforts.

I gather Dangermouse is also out on DVD. One of my colleagues is the spitting image of Penfold, and I want to prove it to everybody. :-)

Does anyone remember Prisoner Cell Block H from back in the days of beyond?

For those who weren't in the know about the aforementioned, it was a surprisingly gritty Aussie drama about a women's prison in Melbourne, and believe you me it was quite a disturbing albeit worthwile watch for the period when it was one....

Thankfully it's available on DVD (someone give the Fremantle corp the nod from me) and it's quite a good series, not at all as corny as it could be, funny from time to time, and other times rather disturbing.

Check it out if you can....

I dunno how overdone this may be over on the UK/Ireland side of the Atlantic, but Hollow Men just aired on Comedy Central here in the states and... I love it.

A show that I'm particularly fond of and don't think is very well-known is a British clay animation cartoon called Creature Comforts. I've never heard anyone talk about it and it airs around 2am on Comedy Central, which leads me to believe not many people have seen it. The premise seems kind of sketchy (interviewing animated animals who lounge around and talk about their lives for 15-minute episodes), but it's pretty quirky and not blatantly in-your-face funny... definitely more of a British subtlety. I love it.

Edit: Apparently it ws made in 1990 (by Nick Park). Interesting.

Alright folks, this be your favourite foolheady fuehrer, welcoming you all into the fold.

It's slow here right now but let's hope we can convince other like minded souls to throw their oars in with the rest of us.

Come one, come all.
